City of Lakes Loppet Posters
Joe and Joseph Duffy (father and son, respectively) of Duffy & Partners have just released their new poster for the 2011 loppet.
Here’s the Duffys’ poster from 2007:
My favorite, though, is this brilliant orange number from 2010.
I’d give my right leg to be spared from actually participating in a loppet, but they sure inspire some nice posters.

@Reebs73: Can we expect any Vulcans Behaving Badly?
@ArtsOrbit: This is 2011. If you want the Vulcans to behave badly, you have to ask them nicely, and specify a safe word.
@Reebs73: Should have filmed my Vulcan reality TV series when I had the chance. "Too Live Krewe"

“Not sure if Bobby and Meredith would want to come out a day early for a preview…but thought I would pass this opportunity along as well. We have some fun stuff going on with the little cowpokes at ‘Cowboy Camp’… and could obviously set-up some additional interview time with just them and the cowboys, rodeo clown and give Bobby (and Meredith if she wants) a chance to rock the...

Scene Spree: A Weekly Recap of the Twin Cities... →
Lately among Twin Cities media people in the arts/lifestyle field, there’s been a lot of talk about “namedrop journalism.” This is the kind of journalism practiced on Page Six and represented locally in the pre-Twitter era by, most infamously, the Star Tribune’s CJ—who’s carrying right on and Tweeting away with the rest of us. Social media have greatly accelerated the...
